About Tammi Spring

Tammi Spring is a Harvard Innovations in American Government Award Winner from her tenure managing the Challenge.gov program and platform, a federal-wide open innovation and crowdsourcing initiative that had global reach. 

She is a worldwide consultant, speaker, and instructor on Open Innovation and Crowdsourcing Methodologies to 3,500+ people in private and public sector organizations, and has worked in Sweden, Canada, Mexico, and Asia. She advises clients on establishing their programs from strategic and legal planning phases to product and platform acquisition and development. 

In the transition to this industry, Ms. Spring specialized in digital media and content strategies at AOL and WashingtonPost.com where active public engagement was core to success, then worked in technology start-ups where she employed crowdsourcing methods to innovate products and drive business metrics. 

Her work encompasses innovation projects in the environment, emerging tech, museums & culture, legal, social issues, health, VR/AR, data analytics, and communications fields. Areas of expertise: Problem definition, Ideation, Prize Design, Challenge Competitions, Hackathons, Open Data, Metrics & Reporting, C-Suite Leadership Training and Collaborations, Community Development, & Solver Engagement.
